Lost/Faith/Art

Performed at The Parlour Studios and Project Space, Kentish Town, London.
January 2012.

Written by Eleanor Rodda.
Directed by Amy Gunn.
With Rachel Eireann and James Thacker.

Lost/Faith/Art marked Absent Theatre's debut performance.
A gallery-based installation performance, using repetition of an intimate conversation - altered by character (denoted by the use of t-shirts). The actors explore the dialogue under the parameters of each relationship, while the director hovers on the sidelines.

At prescribed intervals during the day, the director may intercede, guiding the actors to explore the text in different ways. The piece evolves as the actors discover and play with the characters, the audience invited to see the rehearsal for as long as they please.

At the end of the day, the three conversations were performed as a conclusion of a days' work.

In September 2012, we re-visited the script and invited 6 performers to join us for a three night run at The Harrison Pub, Kings Cross.
